“Backwoods is a unique company in the Alberta business landscape. Majority-owned by the Alexis Nation, Backwoods identity revolves around providing opportunities to indigenous youth.
The ask was to produce a high-end, mini-documentary that tells the story of Backwoods professional and anthropological ventures. Our pitch was to create a cinematic portrait of the company and its people, the work they accomplish and the down-to-earth social impact they strive for.
Our tailored approach allowed us to be nimble, working with the client’s unique schedules, remote work sites, and time-sensitive cultural events. We captured key moments in real time, like the live handshake of the CEO and Alexis Nation Chief. W showed the human moments within the context of a larger industrial scope, ensuring every element aligned with what mattered most to the client.
In the end, we delivered a genuine, final product that captures the essence and origin at the heart of Backwoods, while thoughtfully hitting the key priorities that defined success for their team.
